This exquisite necklace features Methane molecule, the simplest hydrocarbon, consisting of one carbon atom and four hydrogen atoms. The carbon in the center of methane molecules is sp³ hybridized, just like in diamond.
Methane is the principal component of natural gas. Although a major greenhouse gas, Methane made from CO2 and renewable hydrogen offers a new path toward cheaper carbon capture.
